I don't have a tiny video to put in here. I don't think I would ever want a tiny video in here but . . .

Plugin Styles in a File not the Header Please

Plugin Styles in a File not the Header Please

Well, that last post about Tabs in a post was a total disaster.  It got me to thinking about something I wish would be done in an upcoming version of Wordpress.  Many plugins put their unique styles in the header of a web page.  This bloats the code and pushes the content of your blog down.  The post tabs plugin added 55 lines of style code to every page/post on the blog.  There should be a way for plugin authors to put CSS styles in a file and do a one line call to that file.  Instead many add those lines to the blog header.

It is times like this I wish I knew more about writing code for WP and specifically about writing plugin code.  I’ve got to find out how to modify plugins so they won’t add CSS to my blog header.

I think this is something that should be addressed by Wordpress, If it hasn’t been already.  Anyone wanting to write a knowledgable post about how to modify plugin code to call styles from a file instead of putting it in the header? I’ll be glad to have that post hosted here.
